The 20 yard dumpster is our most popular size. At 22 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 4.5 feet tall, it holds about six pickup truck loads. Most homeowners and contractors find this is the sweet spot for medium-sized jobs.

Tips for Choosing the Right Size

When in doubt, go one size up. The cost difference between a 20 and 30 yard container is minimal compared to the hassle of scheduling a second pickup. Think about the type of material you are throwing away, too. Heavy items like concrete or roofing shingles take up less space but add weight fast. Light, bulky items like furniture or cardboard fill the container quickly but stay under the weight limit.

What Cannot Go in a Dumpster

No matter which size you pick, there are a few items we cannot accept. Hazardous materials like paint, chemicals, batteries, and tires are not allowed.
